This privacy statement applies exclusively to the personal data processed and collected by Tabs Holland and its affiliated companies. In doing so, Tabs Holland always respects the privacy of its business relations and (digital) users.
You should be aware that Tabs Holland is not responsible for the privacy policy of other websites, for example, websites referenced on the website of Tabs Holland or its affiliated companies. Our website is public and accessible to everyone. However, it is possible to create a so-called account there. When creating a profile, you provide personal data, including a personal password. The profile and associated personal data are stored in a database linked to the website. This data is stored so that you can make use of the account functionalities.

Provision to third parties
We pass on the data you provide to third parties if this is necessary for the delivery of the products you ordered or the services you requested. As well as to the administrators of software/services for our administration, data storage for data processing, sending newsletters, etc.
For example, we use a third party to process iDeal payments in our webshop, we have a credit check performed via a third party (explained below) for every request for purchases on account, we request information regarding the natural persons on the board of directors of the company, and we pass on your details to the delivery service to deliver the order to you.
When we provide your data to a third party, we ensure (among other things, through a data processing agreement) that your data is not used for other purposes. We also agree therein that your data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer needed.
Furthermore, we will not provide the data you have provided to other parties, unless this is legally required or by means of a court order. For example, the police may request data from us in the context of a fraud investigation. In that case, we are legally obliged to provide your data.
Cookies and profiling
We use cookies on our website. A cookie is a simple, small file that is sent along with pages of this website and stored by your browser on the hard drive of your device so that you can be recognized. When we refer to cookies in this privacy statement, we also mean similar (tracking) technologies, such as pixels. When you visit our websites for the first time, we display a notification explaining cookies and refer you to our cookie policy, which forms part of this privacy statement. We have made agreements with other companies that place cookies regarding the use of the cookies (such as Google Analytics). Unfortunately, we do not have full control over what they do with the cookies themselves. We combine your personal data from various sources (such as the data from your account and your purchases in our webshop and stores) to offer you the best experience. In doing so, we also combine this data with the data you have left on, or via, one of the Tabs Holland websites.
By combining your online and offline data, we can provide you with personalized offers or newsletters that align with your interests. This prevents you from receiving content or offers that are less interesting to you. Based on this profiling, we make selections at a group level. However, we will never exclude you from any of our services and/or products based on this.
Credit check for “buying on credit”
If the customer chooses to purchase on account, we may have a creditworthiness check performed to verify the customer's financial situation and payment behavior and to protect ourselves against possible non-payment.
For a creditworthiness check, in a number of cases, not only company information but also personal data of the customer is sent to external parties for a creditworthiness check and credit management. Only the data necessary for this purpose is used, namely: company details (Chamber of Commerce registration number), email address, telephone number, and account and order details. These parties subsequently determine the statistical risk of non-payment based on mathematical and statistical methods. We would like to point out that this company data may subsequently also be used for a creditworthiness assessment for other applicants.
The decision to approve or reject such a purchase on credit is initially taken automatically by systems and data sources through this external creditworthiness check, without a natural person subsequently assessing that decision. Based on the outcome of the credit report, we then make a final decision ourselves as to whether or not a customer is allowed to purchase on credit. This decision is necessary for installment sales contracts. The credit check is therefore primarily a form of automated decision-making within the meaning of Article 22.2 of the GDPR.
The legal basis for this processing is Article 6.1.b of the GDPR, namely data necessary for the conclusion of a purchase contract.
Apply for a job with us
Under the heading 'Careers' on our website, we offer you the opportunity to apply for one of our open vacancies or to apply by sending an unsolicited application. To do so, we ask you to provide the necessary information, such as your name, contact details, CV, and a cover letter.
Screening
Part of the procedure is the screening. This entails that publicly available information about you may be looked up online, such as your social media profiles. We may use the information found during the application process for further assessment. Naturally, the findings will always be discussed with you. We do not reject people solely based on the results of the screening.
The grounds for processing your data for the purposes mentioned above are:
your consent, to the extent necessary to ultimately enter into an agreement with you and our legitimate interest in assessing, based on your application, whether we will employ you.
Retention periods
We do not retain your data for longer than is necessary for the aforementioned purposes. Should you not be employed by us following the completion of the application process, we will not retain the data for longer than six weeks after the termination of the process. This allows us to contact you if the other candidate proves unsuitable upon further consideration, or in connection with possible new vacancies. If you have given permission to retain your data for a longer period, we will retain your data for a maximum of one year after the termination of the application process.
Newsletter
You can subscribe to our newsletter via our websites. This allows you to regularly receive an email with information, news, and recommendations about our products and services. You can unsubscribe from this subscription at any time. Every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link.
Secure and store
We take appropriate security measures to limit misuse of and unauthorized access to your personal data. We have an information security policy for this purpose. In this way, we ensure that only necessary persons have access to the data, that access to the data is protected, and that our security measures are regularly checked.
We do not retain the data longer than necessary. The exception to this is data that we are required to retain for longer periods due to legal obligations, such as data for the Tax and Customs Administration.

Identification
To prevent misuse and/or to verify your identity, we ask you to identify yourself in some cases—such as when purchasing on installment. Please remember to obscure your BSN and your passport photo on the copy. You can use the “KopieID-app” for this, for example. Even when you submit your application by telephone, we will need to be able to identify you based on the data known to us before we can process your request.
When you submit a request to us for access, correction, modification, and/or deletion, we will ensure that your request is processed within 4 weeks. If we are unable to process it within this period, we will inform you accordingly.
Complaints
Naturally, we are happy to assist you if you have complaints regarding the processing of your personal data. However, if you are unable to resolve the matter with us, you also have the right under privacy legislation to lodge a complaint with the privacy supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority ( www.autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl ).
